Running or jogging is a common type of exercise. Running is an enticing workout since it is inexpensive and can be done at any time that is convenient for you.

Running and jogging differ in intensity. Running is faster and consumes more calories, and requires more work from the heart, lungs, and muscles. Jogging demands less overall fitness than running.

Jogging is an excellent approach to gradually raise the intensity of your workout, reducing the danger of an injury that may keep you out for weeks.

Healthline states that walking, power walking, jogging, and running all promote cardiovascular health and aid in the prevention of obesity. According to Reach, if you accelerate your weight loss, you would have more success.

In accordance with Healthline, moderate activity, such as jogging, really enhances your body’s immune system. This is true for both acute illnesses such as upper respiratory tract infections and chronic disorders such as diabetes.

Running and jogging both qualify as aerobic exercises. Aerobic means ‘with oxygen,’ so any physical activity that produces energy by combining oxygen with blood glucose or body fat is considered aerobic exercise.

Some runners like to compete in fun runs, athletic races, or marathons.

According to Better Health here are some of the health benefits of jogging:

  • help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise
  • strengthen muscles
  • improve cardiovascular fitness
  • burn plenty of kilojoules
  • help maintain a healthy weight.
