Signs that you are running low on testosterone

Testosterone is a male hormone that is produced in the testicular area. According to the medical publication Urology Health – the creation of the hormone usually starts when males enter their teenage years.

This later produces several developmental changes such as the deepening of the voice, the growth of muscle, as well as the appearance of a beard. As an added benefit males also gain a considerable amount of strength.

Health and wellness hub, Health Line further explains that the reason why the presence of it is especially important is that it not only enhances the sex drive in men but also improves memory and plays a vital role in sperm production.

In contrast, however, the absence or lack thereof produces tons of side effects.

Some of these include moodiness, decreased sex drive, fatigue, depression, low self-esteem as well as infertility.

“Low testosterone’s indirect effect on fertility involves a reduced sex drive that can result in a lack of desire to even have sex. It can also cause erectile dysfunction by causing a man to have fewer erections or erections that aren’t as strong as they once were. This can make it difficult to reach climax or to have sex often enough for reproduction,” explains Loma Linda University who has a department that specialises in infertility and IVF.

Meanwhile, there are several things that you can do to increase the testosterone in your body.

Some of these includes:

Increasing Vitamin D

Wellness publication – Health – reveals that low levels of vitamin D lowers testosterone. “Taking vitamin D supplements or incorporating more vitamin D into your diet may help to boost your testosterone.”

Work out

The above-mentioned source further explains, that a growing body is strongly linked to the evidence of good testosterone levels.

“In a 2020 review, researchers noted that high-intensity endurance exercise in the form of aerobic exercise or cardio and heavy resistance training, such as weightlifting, significantly increased men’s levels of testosterone.”

Other ways of achieving a decent level is also by getting enough sleep, consuming honey and taking supplements.
