Scrolling through social media, it’s easy to feel like everyone else has their life—and their fitness—figured out. However; behind those transformation photos and motivational captions are real people who have struggled, sweated, and pushed through self-doubt on their weight loss journeys.

Some influencers have shared every step, from the first gym session, and the doctor’s visits, to the occasional cheat meal, inspiring thousands along the way. Their stories aren’t just about dropping kilos; they’re about discipline, self-love, and the messy, unpredictable road to feeling good in their own skin.

These are some of the few influencers who tagged us along their weight loss journeys:

Asemahle “Mahle” Majola, known online as @mahle_maj, is one of the many influencers who has shared her experiences on social media platforms. She documented her journey when she visited the CliniMed Health practice owned by Dr Porrtia Mathobela where she went to get a weight loss injection. In one of her TikTok videos, she explained how she gained weight during COVID-19 and then decided to do the 75 Hard challenge which resulted in her losing 7,6 kg. However, she was not satisfied hence she opted for an injection.

His wife posted a video on Tioktok explaining how much it’s been a struggle for Sivuyile to lose weight, she said “Sbari has been trying to lose weight for a long time, a few quick diets here and there, with nothing working “quickly” enough for him. Thank you @clinimed_health for your support and for making this more about lifestyle than diet.”

Paballo recently embarked on a personal weight loss journey, documenting her experiences on TikTok to inspire and motivate others. She explains how much she let her guard down for so long regarding her weight and that is not what she has stated on the Ozempic injection, her aim is not to become a slender girl, she just wants to shed some unnecessary weight so that she has control over her body.
