Celebs Side Ponytails

by Keletso Modisakeng

A long side ponytail has been seen on fashion ramps and now on the streets. A conservative side ponytail will give you a soft yet sexy look that will best suit any occasion.

Step 1

Braided cornrows are an old traditional hairstyle that is now used to keep the hair neat and tidy under weaves.

Step 2

Undo the cornrow in the front using a thin tooth comb and begin to unravel the hair. Work your way up from the roots, while being careful not to pull tightly on the hair as this may break it.

Step 3

Comb the loose hair using slow strokes to avoid breaking it.

Step 4

Brush your hair back to give it a unified look, making sure it blends with the weave

Step 5

Gentle pull the hair back and off to the side, to create your ponytail.

Do it like the celebs

Eve

We love how versatile Eve is with her hair. She never has a dull moment, even on an ordinary day. She rocks the side pony tail with a cap. A dash of colour and curls can give your hairstyle a completely different twist.

Brandy

The award winning songstress is glamorous and doesn’t tie her ponytail. Pin your ponytail at the back and let the front of the hair loose. Tumble curls are always a great style as they add character to the hair.
