Eggs are a very versatile food item. They can be used to prepare a variety of dishes or you can simply enjoy eggs on their own.

They are tasty, easy to make and have a lot of health benefits for people of all ages.

However, how do you love to have your eggs? Although there are many ways that you can prepare and serve eggs, the benefits of having boiled eggs can go a long way.

Nourish by WebMD highlights these benefits of boiled eggs:

  1. Preparation, there is not much that goes into preparing boiled eggs. All you need to do is let it boil for at least six minutes for medium boiled and 12 minutes for hard boiled eggs.
  2. Prenatal bone strength, boiled eggs have a lot of protein which works alongside Vitamin D and  promotes prenatal development.
  3. Weight loss, boiled eggs are filling but they fill you up without packing too many calories, which is beneficial if you want to lose weight.
  4. Reduced cholesterol, to enjoy a low cholesterol snack, take out the yoke and enjoy the boiled egg white.
  5. Increased mental energy, hard boiled eggs contain a combination of healthy elements like protein and choline, which will help with getting your brain going, especially after breakfast

Boiled eggs are a great and convenient protein snack, however you can get creative with them.
