Whether you like classic, hybrid or volume lashes there are a few things you need to know when booking your lash appointment as it is important to pick the lashes that are suitable for you.

Luxury Eye states that lash extensions come in different sizes, shapes and curves that best suit your eye shape. The hub also explains the different types of lash extension sizes you can opt for such as the L-Curl for a more natural look and the D-Curl lash curve if you want a more dramatic look.

According to Stacy Lash, a lash size is measured in millimetres and usually ranges from 6-18mm which also determines the thickness of the lash extension, when it comes to choosing the perfect size the client’s natural lash health should always be taken into account as lashes that are too heavy for the eye can cause a lot of damage including your lashes to fall out.

Here’s a list of the different kinds of lash sizes according to Glow up time:

  • B-curl lashes: The hub mentions that this type of lash curl is more natural and according to the diagram above the curl isn’t too long and less dramatic which is more suitable for people who have straight lashes.
  • C-curl: These are more of a “one size fits all” type of lash size for people with more thinner natural lashes.

  • D-curl: As mentioned above a D-curl is perfect for a more dramatic look and is similar to a volume type of lash extensions.

  •  L and L+ curl: This flat base is good if you have single eyelids or hooded eyelids as they enhance your face more.
