Three watches every man should have

by Sergio Miller

A watch is seen as one of the key accessories that completes and complements any man’s attire. Not only does it send subtle messages of success, but it also says a lot about the person, his personality and character.

According to Swiss Fine Timing – a company focused on the collection and restoration of fine watches, people who wear watches are often seen as dependable and reliable.

“To others, seeing a watch on someone’s wrist says that that person is punctual and values not only his or her time but other people’s time.”

However, it is important for a man to not only commit himself to having one watch, instead, to find multiple watches that are suitable for three specific occasions which compliment his lifestyle.

Here are three watches that every guy should have and why:

Everyday watch

Mr Koachman – online gentleman’s styling website – highlights that an everyday watch is an absolute must-have in any collection. It should be versatile and comfortable enough to wear at any time and for any occasion.

“Go for leather, rubber, or stainless-steel watch because it is very light which is more comfortable to wear every day,” writes the above mentioned publication.

Sport/Outdoor watch

This is often the watch you would wear when you find yourself participating in any physical activity. The purpose of the sports watch is designed to fulfill the void that others cannot. For example, making use of a stop clock during gyms sessions, or monitoring your heart rate or daily steps.

“If you’re the outdoorsy type, get an outdoor watch that is tailored towards the sport with good features like water resistance, a lightweight build, interchangeable straps, shock resistance, etc,” recommends Mr Koachman.

Dress watch

Dress watches are also considered as a statement watch, this is ideal when having a night out or meeting up with industry professionals. It is the perfect way to set yourself apart from the crowd and is guaranteed to elevate your appearance.
