Starting a bag collection? Here are tips you need to know

by Limpho Nonkonyane
BAG COLLECTION: PEXELS

Just like any accessory in your wardrobe, your bag collection is as important as you need to match your outfit looks with them. Picking out strong, durable budget-friendly or expensive bags can be a challenge as it is not always about labels but more about adopting a more modern-chic vibe.

When it comes to transitioning from college into the corporate world, it requires many to either start shopping for new looks or switch up their bag collection, as certain bags might not work for other occasions than most.

Whether bags are your thing or not, you should start a collection, because bags play a role in your everyday life as you can store whatever you want in them.

The Wardrobe Consultant states that when it comes to starting your bag collection there are a lot of factors that you need to take into consideration, and as much as this process can cause many to be anxious it is an exciting journey. As your bag collection redefines your ultimate fashion style.

PRO TIP: When shopping for bags don’t always go for the most expensive bag, but go for something that will resemble your style, because a good bag can elevate your outfit look for any function.

Here are some tips you need to know:

  1. Shop for bags within your budget: Fashion hub, Jenny From the Block advises not going over budget for a bag or getting into debt as it sets unrealistic expectations for yourself. The hub adds that bags are more of a luxury than a need as there are many things you will need to pay for.
  2. Choose neutral colours: The above-mentioned source mentions that having a bag collection with neutral colours will help you a long way, as it makes styling your outfits easier.
  3. Think functionality: It’s very important to shop for bags that you will use as they just end up collecting dust in your closet. The Wardrobe Consultant advises, “Consider organising your things before putting them in your bag instead of using your bag to organise your things.”
