Sonia Booth got to relive her ramp walking days at the SA Fashion week yesterday when she opened for Palesa Mokubung’s Mantsho collection.
The former beauty queen and business woman who has not graced the runway for sometime, posted photos on her Instagram wearing a long beautiful red and black Mantsho gown and captioned it, “Opening for Mantsho” with the designer tagged.

Sonia’s followers express their support and excitement over her post. User @tshilidzi2343 wrote, “Sonia keep doing what u do thats your talent # Soweto girls # Pimville kasi vibes.” While @live4aliving1 wrote, “Looking like the Goddess you are.”
Her second post, a photo of her next to the designer, Sonia expressed her love and appreciation for Palesa capturing the photo, “I just love how fierce and unapologetic she is. Mantsho by @palesamokubung. Exquisite, dramatic creations topped by @maleh_music performance during the show, #safashionweek.”
With her Marula Cheese cake ice cream selling well, and a soon to be launched Marula Cheese Cake Liqueur on the way, 2023 promises to be a good year for Sonia.
It is not quite clear whether Sonia will be taking more modelling gigs, but judging from her Instagram posts, she seemed to have enjoyed yesterday’s show.
Sonia keeps proving to many of us that life is what you make of it. We love women who rise above life challenges and hope to see more of the beauty queen on the runway.
