Social media personality Thulasizwe ‘Lasizwe’ Dambuza showcases fashion designer Nao Serati’s garments inspired by Volvo’s interior using AI technology.

Artificial intelligence, or AI, has grown in popularity as technology has advanced throughout time. This technology is intended to carry out human-defined objectives, as well as to forecast or construct previously unknown virtual worlds.

Last month, Lasizwe was appointed alongside Thea Booysen as Volvo EX30 Champion a campaign set to promote the new electric vehicle.

Speaking to news publication, IOL, Lasizwe said, “Volvo wanted to inspire South Africans to see sustainability and advanced technologies such as AI, as something beautiful, creative, and beneficial for our planet. I loved what Neo created. I would wear this outfit to any event that’s going to be iconic and leave a statement.”

According to IOL, the Volvo EX30’s interior is constructed of renewable linseed fibre, rugs produced from recycled fishing nets, and inlays created from recovered denim, all carefully selected to combine elegance with responsible design.

Taking to his Instagram with the caption, Lasizwe said, “Firstly @naoserati SIR, A WHOLE OUTFIT MADE OF OUT FABRIC USED for CAR SEATS (watch slide 2, INSANE)Secondly @volvocarsa HOW DID YOU GUYS COME UP WITH THIS, BECAUSE ITS GENIUS… Sana!! This outfit oh my soul! ATE! 8! ATE! What a collaboration. I enjoyed working with you guys. What a beautiful concept!”

Speaking on the inspiration behind his design for Lasizwe, Nao said:

South African designer Nao Serati has collaborated with Volvo SA to design an A/W 2024 garment for Lasizwe who is Volvo’s EX30 champion.

The garment is made using the sustainable, luxurious interior fabric of the EX30 and Al Tech.#FashionResource pic.twitter.com/zDX2wrnBhD
