People will do anything to have clear skin and with the different types of skincare products produced some people still rely on home remedies to have clear glowing skin.

TikTok creator @simmyndlabu posted a video of her drinking a whole bottle of castor oil where she relived that it gives her clear skin. This video shocked a lot of users on the app as castor oil is known to be a laxative that helps with bowel movements.

According to Healthline, castor oil is a very powerful laxative that works as a good moisturiser or helps with scalp health and hair growth. Although it has all these health benefits, the above-mentioned source states that it should ingested with caution as it has a lot of side effects.

Despite castor oil being a good detox method it is advised that you visit your doctor before using it to get clear skin.

In the video, the creator drinks the castor oil causing users in the comment section to caution people on the required dosage of castor oil that is needed.

One user asked about the benefits of drinking castor oil.

Another user suggested drinking warm milk as it helps with burping, adding that, another cleanser would be pink Himalayan salt.

Another user said that the creator was brave to drink the whole bottle as the laxative makes you go to the toilet.

One user cautioned TikTok users to drink the required amount and not ingest the whole bottle.
