As Paris Fashion Week has come to an end, some of mzansi’s celebs are sharing their experiences at the renowned fashion event.

The week dedicated to showing off the latest pieces by some of the world’s top fashion designers took place from 26 February to 5 March at various locations. Well-known, international brands included Issey Miyake, Christian Louboutin, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, Off-White and Balenciaga to name a few.

Flying the South African flag high and said to be the only Africa-based brand to make the official schedule was Maxhosa Africa, a brand by Laduma Ngxokolo, which made its Paris Fashion Week debut.

In attendance to support the designer was satirist comedian and TV personality Lesego Tlhabi.

Thanking Laduma and noting that she was allowed to be an assistant to the communications team, Lesego wrote on Instagram, “Seeing a glimpse of you in action, your commitment to your craft, the love you pour into everyone around you and how kind you are, how seriously you take yourself and your brand without compromising your humility and humour, it’s been an incredible opportunity to be an assistant to the communications team. And what a team it is. Also, what a collection!”

Attending her first fashion show in Paris, internet personality Rachel Kolisi shared her experience at the Stella McCartney show.

“@Stellamccartney did not disappoint! She is an absolute powerhouse of a woman, and it’s written all over her brand. Wildly honoured to have been invited,” wrote Rachel, who also thanked Lesego for being her “unofficial – last minute.com stylist.”
