Gallery: Fashion looks at ‘Shaka iLembe’ premier

As it was a night of glitz and glam at the gold carpet of the premier of the second season of Shaka iLembe, it was also a night of celebrating and retelling African stories and history.

A red carpet was rolled out to welcome guests, while drum beating and African songs accompanied by traditional dance filled the room with vibrations and goosebumps. Prolific media personalities and the cast of the Bomb Shelter produced; Shaka iLembe gathered at Montecasino Cinema to view the first episode of the historical story of the Zulu monarch.

The theme of the night was African Royalty, as usual the guests dolled themselves up to look the part.

Reality TV star Nonkanyiso ‘Laconco’ Chonco stunned in her orange traditional dress, with black embroidery; matched by her black traditional head wrap.

Actress and Model, Luyanda Zuma embodied elegance in her modern traditional black and white dress, embellished with shredded gold sleeves paired with gold shoes and purse.

Actor, Lemogang Tsipa took over the gold carpet with his black suit with a touch of gold which he paired with a gold hat and jewellery.

Big Brother Mzansi star, Uyanda Hlangabezo who made a name for himself for being stylish, did not disappoint as he rocked a black suit with a touch of white traditional embroidery, matching his hat.

Actress, Sivenathi Mabuya looked like she just walked from the set of Shaka iLembe, as she oozed elegance and royalty in her traditional black and white dress designed by Shaka iLembe‘s costume designer. She paired her dress with a black traditional hat, and blue and white traditional beads underneath.
