It’s all about fashion when it comes to the 2024 Hollywood Bets Durban July and with the theme being, ‘Ride the Wave’, our ultimate faves did not stop at anything to dress to impress.

Celebrities from mzansi are bringing their fashion A-game to this annual event, focusing not only on horse racing and bets but also on KwaZulu-Natal fashion students showcasing their work to compete for the 2024 HDJ Young Designer Award.

The event honours designers such as Terrence Bray, David Tlale, Kathrin Kidger, Kluk CGDT, Zama Mathe, Ruff Tung, Colleen Eitzen, Paledi Segapo, Karen Monk Klijnstra, Sibu Msimang, Duke, and Hanrie Lues, who created a one-of-a-kind collection featuring a showstopper and race day ensemble.

2. Lamiez Holworthy

TV personality and DJ Lamiez attended the event dressed in Masango by designer Siphesihle. She looked mesmerising as the dress gave a mermaid-like look.

3. Thando Thabethe

The How to Ruin Christmas actress and radio presenter attended the event dressed in a William Harry de Beer. The white dress resembled sea shells.
