Since Ricky “Rikhado Makhado” Rick’s terrible death one year ago, Cotton Fest, his well-liked festival, has continued to receive unending support from his followers.

People from all walks of life poured into the streets of Johannesburg to honor his legacy, bringing Newtown to life throughout the weekend with all kind of entertainment. The event was filled with memorable moments, including the emotionally charged tribute to Ricky along with the artists who also reminded the crowd how incredible the music star was.

In true Ricky fashion, celebrities and festival goers were dressed impeccably and embodied the term ‘cotton eaters’ as they were fondly referred to by the late musician.

Singer Elaine was on the line-up and performed in a backless sultry sequins dress with boots to match. The star of her look was her make-up, she looked flawless and the purple eyeshadow just worked.
