Bonang Matheba’s Miss SA 2023 showstopper looks

Media personality Bonang Matheba made headlines leading up to the Miss South Africa pageant by revealing that the most expensive dress she’ll wear is worth over R60 000.

She hosted the show on Sunday and showcased several dresses, all seemingly falling within that price range.

Before the show, Bonang expressed excitement about the production and said that she saw hosting the show as her Super Bowl, something she’s passionate about and well-prepared for.

“I am back hosting one of the most important shows of the year. It is going to be fantastic – the production is wonderful with some international names and is a true celebration of Women’s Month. Expect beautiful dresses. I am going to put on a show and bring all the sparkle and the magic that I can!,” she said.

Bonang’s brand, House of BNG, was an official sponsor of the event.

The pageant was won by Natasha Joubert, and the judges included notable figures like R’Bonney Nola Gabriel, the current Miss Universe, and Thuso Mbedu.
