5 Beauty hacks you can’t live without

Over the years, the beauty industry has seen many beauty hacks shared by experts and people, leaving internet users divided and unsure of what to believe.

Keep in mind that when it comes to beauty hacks it is important to ensure that you use products and routines that work best for you as they will provide the best results.

Beauty hub, Alyaka, states that the first step to looking gorgeous is looking for effective and naturally processed beauty products and then learning tips and tricks so that you can look good for longer.

Local esthetician and founder of Viviane Aires Skin Wellness, Viviane Aires says, “Another great way to protect your skin against the sun is to use a vitamin C product.”

She adds that reapplying products that contain SPF every two hours as instructed can be impossible, adding that, vitamin C-infused beauty products work just as better as they protect you from the sun and build immunity against anything your skin might come in contact with.

Here are 5 beauty hacks you can’t live without provided by various beauty hubs:

  1. Foundation then concealer: According to beauty hub, Elleven Salon, starting your makeup routine with foundation before going in with your concealer makes for a much smoother canvas as it makes a clear base eliminating redness and skin discolouration. The hub adds that you will also avoid having your makeup on top of each or even crease.
  2. Use lemon for skin discolouration: Alyaka says, that for dark underarms, thighs or skin discolouration lemon mixed with baking soda or bicarbonate of soda gives you a natural glow making your skin brighter.
  3. Apply lash glue with a hairpin: False lashes can be difficult to put on sometimes, leading to the glue being stuck in your eyes. Elleven Salon suggests using a bobby pin to apply the lash glue to your false lashes to prevent any mishaps. Keep in mind that you should not use too much glue.
  4. Don’t pick on your pimples: If you want to have clear skin, you should not by any means pop your pimples although it might be satisfying for some. PhillyMag adds that beauty experts advise against this as it causes inflammations and wounds around the skin.
  5. Moisturise: Hydrating your skin is very important not just as a beauty hack but for your skin. Founder of Sabbatical Beauty, Adeline Koh says, “The layers of hydration will keep skin plump and hydrated and you can take them on and off just like you would in different seasons.”
