South African kwaito musician, writer and TV presenter Bonginkosi Dlamini, better known as Zola 7 is reportedly working on an album.

At the beginning of the year of 2022, Zola left his fans concerned following a video that surfaced online that showcased the musician to be frail and ill. Which led to many people donating money into his account, which he was super appreciative of.

In more exciting news, his fans can expect a comeback from the kwaito musician himself as Zimoja reported that the singer is currently working on a new album.

According to the publication, the kwaito musician revealed he is working on new music for his fans and that they should expect an album soon.

“I am working on a new album which I hope to will be released on 24 April, but nothing is yet finalised. I have a lot of new music and it’s only a matter of time.”

Zola 7 was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago which resulted in him losing weight and struggling with his career. The publication also reported that  Zola spent five weeks in a coma, but is now feeling much better.

The TV presenter was reported to be taking medication twice a day for his condition. The Mdlwembe singer admitted to being concerned about his health and shared that he “almost kicked the bucket.”

“I could say that I rose from the dead. I almost didn’t make it. I almost kicked the bucket. But the medication is treating me well. I’m trying to eat right. I take200 mg of medication in the morning and in the evening, so it’s heavy. According to the doctors, I will be doing this for the rest of my life,” he told the publication.

“I was in a coma for five weeks due to epilepsy. I was not on any ventilators or anything; I was breathing by myself,” Zola was quoted as saying.
