by Samantha Mochele

South African exotic dancer Zodwa Wabantu known for her bold personality, is making headlines again — this time, over serious accusations of assault.

Tebogo Makgoba, took to Instagram to share her experience, claiming she was physically attacked by Zodwa in an unprovoked assault.

“I was attacked last night by your fave, Zodwa wa Bantu,” wrote Tebogo, alongside heartbroken and crying emojis. She described the incident as a brutal, unexpected assault, saying, “Yoh shame, azanka ka bethiwa so (I’ve never been beaten like this). For what I don’t know.” Tebogo claims that Zodwa left her with broken braces and a damaged phone, adding, “She broke my phone and my braces.”

Tebogo’s post ended with a plea for guidance, as she expressed feeling lost and overwhelmed: “Please help me, akitsi ke ire byang,” meaning, “I don’t know what to do.”

Tebogo recounted to Daily Sun, the alleged attack by Zodwa occurred after a night out at a gig. Tebogo, who had accompanied her DJ friend, shared that they were enjoying VIP treatment when Zodwa joined their table.

Tebogo claimed she saw Zodwa in an argument with her boyfriend outside. Suddenly, Zodwa allegedly turned on Tebogo, slapping, kicking, and pulling her hair until she fell.

Tebogo recalled repeatedly asking why she was being attacked, to which Zodwa allegedly responded, calling her a “b**ch.”

The incident allegedly left Tebogo with a damaged hairline, swollen lips, bruised knees, broken braces, and a cracked phone screen.

In response to Tebogo’s Instagram post detailing her alleged assault by Zodwa Wabantu, Women For ChangeSA commented with words of support and encouragement.
