Amapiano star Zandile Nxumalo known professionally as Zee Nxumalo is set to headline the opening ceremony of this season’s highly-anticipated Nedbank Cup final at Mbombela Stadium.

Zee quickly made a name for herself as a South African musical artist, singer, and songwriter. Her rise to fame began with a viral cover of “Amablesser” by Mlindo back in 2018. Although she initially did covers for fun, Zee soon realised her potential in the music industry. Her latest hit single, “Thula Mabota,” features Pabi Cooper, boasting over 5 million streams in two months and sparked a viral TikTok dance challenge.

Taking to Instagram she announced that her fans should catch up with her in Mbombela Stadium alongside @shakesxles_official.

The Nedbank Cup final, which will feature soccer giants Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns going head-to-head for the championship, promises to be an electrifying event.

The Thula Mabota hitmaker is approaching the final with a rapidly growing fanbase. Her performance at the opening ceremony is expected to be a standout moment of the event.

According to OK Mzansi, Zee Nxumalo expressed her excitement about performing at the upcoming event.

“I’m so excited to showcase my growth since the last time I headlined a big sports occasion,” she said. “I’m a lot more confident on the big stage, I have a better understanding of crowd control, and I’ve got more music to showcase. We’ve got so many more exciting plans for the year that I can’t wait to share.”
