TV personality and radio DJ Zanele Potelwa, candidly shared that she was first rejected for auditions as host on Tropical Island Treasure.

The renowned reality show, currently in its 11th season, takes place in Zanzibar, Tanzania. It captures the lives of eight celebrities and their team members as they compete in weekly challenges to win R1 million and a Suzuki Jimny.

The show’s host, Zanele, recently took to TikTok to share that she didn’t get the audition to host the reality show the first time and expressed her disappointment in that. Despite not making it the first time she auditioned, she added that it was not her time for it, and when it was, she ended up hosting other gigs such as Selimathunzi, Expresso, and even the biggest radio show on 5FM.

Sharing her testimony to encourage others she captioned, “TESTIMONY MONDAY. I cried while editing this. He KNOWS!!!! Ours is to trust Him!!! What a faithful God I serve. That ‘NO’ is always for a reason, because He knows the right season. Thank you, Jesus Christ. My best friend, My redeemer, my Saviour, My sanity”
