Following the death of his wife Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, her husband Bishop Mpendulo Brian Nkambule was faced with the difficult task of celebrating their first wedding anniversary without his wife by his side.

This year marks what would have been the happy couple’s 13th wedding anniversary.

Taking to Instagram Bishop Mpendulo shared a video reel showcasing some of their happiest moments on their wedding day.

The video shows a much younger Zanele and her husband enjoying the festivities along with several close family members and friends.

In his caption, he wrote: “Today is our 13th wedding anniversary. I love you still my love, Zanele Mbokazi. Till then,” accompanied by three heart emojis.

The uKhozi FM presenter was laid to rest this past weekend following a short battle with lung cancer.

She was diagnosed shortly after falling ill while working on the radio show in April this year after she experienced shortness of breath.

Prior to her passing, she was interviewed by Daily Sun where she highlighted how tough the journey has been since her diagnosis.

“There are days when you do not even want to take your medication. Days when messages from loved ones asking, ‘How are you today? You will be alright,’ just irritate you,” she explained.

Responding to his post, many have shared their sympathy towards the Bishop and his family.

“This hit me deep though I don’t know mam Zanele and Bishop. God will take care of you and your children Bishop, we are praying for your family to get through this,” one user commented.
