Dance and music lovers are in for a rare treat at the 2026 Hollywoodbets Durban July. Grammy Award-winning artist Zakes Bantwini is set to top the bill at the Pulse Big Stage on race day, Saturday, 4 July 2026.

Zakes Bantwini shares excitement for Hollywoodbets Durban July
Zakes, often styled as the ‘King of Dance,’ will be joined by a star-studded line-up of South African talent from across the pop and house music scenes, adding even more excitement to one of the country’s most iconic lifestyle events.
The Durban-born star is especially looking forward to performing in his home province, KwaZulu-Natal, where he is expected to deliver a high-energy set for thousands of fans.
“KZN, it’s always good to be home! I’ve got something special prepared for you at the Hollywoodbets Durban July. It’s going to be a great one, hope to see you all there!” he said.
A star-studded pulse stage line-up
Alongside Zakes, several artists have been confirmed for the Pulse Big Stage, including Mi Casa, Will Rayz, Will Linley, Angel Mazibuko, Supreme 3, and Tamara Dey.
Guests at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse can expect a winning combination of world-class horse racing, high fashion, music, and entertainment, continuing the event’s legacy as one of South Africa’s premier social gatherings.
Mi Casa returns to the Hollywoodbets Durban July stage
Award-winning group Mi Casa will also be taking to the stage, bringing their signature blend of house and soulful sounds.
The trio, who have multiple hit albums and industry awards to their name, recently revealed they will also represent South Africa at the FIFA World Cup later this year.
“We will never forget the very first Hollywoodbets Durban July we did, and we count it as such a blessing to be able to come back. We can’t wait to connect with everybody,” said band member J’Something.
Singer-songwriter Will Rayz, an SA’s Got Talent finalist, will bring soulful energy to the stage, while Will Linley continues to represent a new wave of young South African artists gaining international attention.
“I am so excited to be playing at the Hollywoodbets Durban July. As a kid, I would always watch the race with my father, so it’s pretty unreal to be part of such an awesome event!” said Will.
Afro-pop and R&B rising star Angel Mazibuko will also perform, known for her powerful vocals and vibrant stage presence.

High energy and musical fusion
Keeping the energy high will be Supreme 3, made up of Loyiso Bala, Graeme Watkins, and Monde Msutwana, who are set to bring a Motown-inspired performance to the trackside stage.
Veteran DJ and vocalist Tamara Dey will also return, promising a high-energy set infused with her signature dance sound and a country-inspired twist aligned with this year’s theme.
This year’s event celebrates its 130th running under the theme ‘Country Allure,’ encouraging fashion designers and racegoers to draw inspiration from rural landscapes and equestrian elegance.
Organisers also confirmed that singer Anlia Etzebeth will perform the national anthem on the day, adding another special moment to the programme.
