Defence challenges the State’s evidence
During the latest bail proceedings, Shebeshxt’s defence questioned the strength of the State’s case, particularly the evidence relating to the alleged Ladanna shooting.
His legal team relied on testimony from a forensic ballistics expert, who raised questions about the evidence available for analysis. Shebeshxt also argued that the firearm and ammunition allegedly used in the incident had not been found.
The State, however, continues to oppose his release on bail.
When will Shebeshxt return to court?
The bail hearing is expected to resume on 9 November, with proceedings scheduled to continue until 12 November 2026.
Shebeshxt remains in custody as he awaits the continuation of his bail application, according to SABC News.
