Witnesses make allegations against Andrea Johnson
According to IOL, witnesses, including retired Hawks Colonel Kobus Roelofse and former IDAC official Drushantha Ramsamy, alleged that Andrea improperly shared confidential case material with Feroz before he submitted his warning statement to investigators.
The material allegedly included the complainant’s statement, a J88 medical report and audio evidence.
Andrea was also accused of shielding Feroz from prosecution and arranging an unofficial meeting at her office, allegedly bypassing normal visitor procedures.
When questioned about whether she had disclosed the docket, Andrea invoked her constitutional right against self-incrimination.
Further testimony raised questions about her management of investigations, including alleged pressure to meet arrest deadlines, the handling of cases involving senior police officials and claims that a witness was discouraged from remaining in South Africa to testify.
These allegations have placed Andrea’s conduct during her time in the anti-corruption structures under scrutiny.

Feroz Khan faces questions over cocaine operations
Feroz, meanwhile, has faced scrutiny over the original assault allegations against him and his alleged involvement in questionable cocaine operations.
One of the matters raised at the commission concerns the controversial Aeroton drug bust, which involved a reported 751kg cocaine haul.
The commission also heard evidence about discrepancies between a reported 552kg cocaine seizure and official records reflecting 541kg.
The evidence has raised further questions about the handling of drug-related investigations and the conduct of senior police officials.
Arrests follow commission scrutiny
The arrests mark a significant development involving two individuals who previously held senior positions within South Africa’s law enforcement and anti-corruption structures.
Andrea resigned as IDAC head in July 2026, while Feroz previously served in SAPS Crime Intelligence.
The case involving the alleged defeating of the ends of justice is expected to bring further scrutiny to the allegations raised during the commission’s proceedings.
Further details regarding their arrest circumstances, formal charges and expected court appearances are still awaited.
