Big Brother Titans fans are divided after watching a few days of the reality TV show as each country accuses the other of being xenophobic.

Naturally, fans of the show choose whether to be in support of their country represented in the house or just go for housemates they are interested in. However, in the past few hours of the show, fans have been accusing each other of being xenophobic.

Although, the Big Brother house is a safe space for all housemates, viewers are seeing it differently when it come to xenophobia. Some fans of the show had a few things to share about what goes on in the house.

“it’s giving Xenophobic vibes, the dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries. That time South African housemates are welcoming and willing to learn about their culture. I have been saying this South Africans are not Xenophobic we are just patriotic.”

#BBTitians is showing what South African deal with on a daily, this is how we treated by fellow Africans when they arrive here and once we retaliate we we called names and they quick to use the Xenophobic card. @BigBroAfrica needs to cancel this show now already. pic.twitter.com/DYyfugcwYp

Some people have labelled South Africans as xenophobic, in a way fans of the show did anticipate some sort of division amongst the housemates, but the “xenophobic alarm” went off when Nigerian housemates Jenni O, Olivia, Yvonne and Jaypee formed a clique separating themselves from SA housemates and one housemate from the clique calling South African housemates “things”.

The viewers of the show have seen the divide amongst the ladies and have been sharing their views on social media, making the BBT a top trending topic everyday since it started airing.

I saw Olivia, Yuvon and Jenny O being Xenophobic. I think this thing is contentious. Epeleng sense the Xenophobic energy and she’s reciprocating the same energy.#BBTitans#BBTitans2023#KhosiTwala

It’s been 10 days since the show has started now and already the clash between the 2 nationalities is intense amongst the franchise fanbase.

When a South African says they going to vote for a Nigerian housemate. South Africans don’t come in with the.. “you are a sellout.. you are not supporting your own” comments. But Nigerians push the narrative that South Africans are xenophobic. #BBTitians #BBTitans2023

The attitude these Nigerian women have against South Africans is going to be a problem. #BBTitans #BBTitians #BigBrotherTitans @BigBroAfrica call them out because if it was South Africans saying such, we’d be called Xenophobic #BBTitans https://t.co/M91qK7VRVP
