Matters appear to get hotter every day for social media content creator and influencer Ndoyisile, as he continues losing followers on TikTok after his controversial remarks regarding the Mall of Africa and Tembisa residents.

Ndoyisile has worked extremely hard to emerge as one of the more popular lifestyle content creators on TikTok, as his followers tend to enjoy the humorous touch he adds to his videos. Recently, however, a bad joke has had career-threatening ramifications for the influencer. His name has been plastered on various social media platforms, and the public has called him out for his choice of words in one of his YouTube videos.

The matter began when according to the influencer, he made a ‘joke’ inuiring why Tembisa residents choose to loiter at the Mall of Africa, while seemingly not doing anything productive at the mall. Continuing, he asked whether these residents do not have a mall in Tembisa that they could alternatively flood instead.

Zimbabwean-born Ndoyisile, who is well-known on TikTok, has sparked controversy by claiming that people from Tembisa are overcrowding Mall of Africa in Midrand.

Mzansi was less than impressed by the influencers’ words, labelling him as classist and many other unpleasant words. Users questioned how Ndoyisile, as a Zimbabwean national, would feel comfortable enough to utter such words to the people of the country he has now found a home in. These users called upon their internet users to ensure that the influencer faces the full consequences of his actions, which they believe involve him going back to his country of birth, as well as losing a significant portion of his social media following.

I still can’t believe a Zimbabwean whants south Africans to stop going to mall of Africa so that he can be comfortable since he is a “classist” ndoyisile have a nerve

Matters intensified further after Ndoysile issued a public apology to Tembisa residents who were offended by his video. The public deciphered the video and concluded that the influencer was not remorseful due to his choice of clothing: a t-shirt written ‘Whatever’ as well as his nonchalant attitude. This caused even more uproar as mzansi wants to ensure that Ndoyisile faces the music for what he has done.

Ndoyisile doesn’t see us or respect us!

He intentionally wore a t-shirt written, “Whatever.” It is this arrogance that frustrates South Africans like myself even more!

Zimbabweans are generally arrogant, whether Shona or Ndebele. They carry the same condescending attitude pic.twitter.com/9Ulz9EHtdK
