Wife Swap South Africa is coming to S3

The concept of the reality TV show ‘Wife Swap’ originated in Britain in 2003. The idea of the show is to get families, usually from different social classes or lifestyles to swap lives. The mother, or occasionally the husband of each family will leave their own to experience life with the other family for two weeks.

It is time for South African TV lovers and watchers to get excited as SABC is bringing the South African edition of the popular show. Set to premiere this September, the show is set to bring a South African flavour to a predominantly western concept.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share the news of the premier of the show, stating that it would be premiering on 9 September on S3 and will be available on SABC Plus.

NEW SHOW:

‘Wife Swap South Africa’

Mzansi version of a social experiment reality show, where two wives swap families and lives to see what it’s like to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, is coming to SABC.

Surprisingly, internet users seem to be unsure about how to take the announcement, as some think that the concept is not suitable in a South African context.

I remember some years back there used to be family swap or something like that. And it was so interesting to watch, I’m definitely gonna enjoy this https://t.co/9biG87mLBg
