Actor, businessman and media personality Thapelo Mokoena has announced that he will officially be parting ways as co-founder and partner of the Molitva Restaurant.

Thapelo and close friend, Chef Milan Cerimaj founded the restaurant in 2021, describing it as the “Cradle of human kind.” The menu entailed dishes such as home cooked pasta options to a variety of Mediterranean cuisines, all of this is what made the restaurant a popular hotspot.

Taking to Instagram, the actor said that he has had time of introspection and reflection on what it was that he wanted to achieve in life. Remaining in the restaurant industry was unfortunately not part of his vision board.

In his post he said the following: “I am writing to formally announce my decision to withdraw as a partner from Molitva Restaurant. This choice, while not made lightly, has been long overdue. Throughout the years, I have taken pride in curating and providing diverse lifestyle experiences that you, our valued consumers, have wholeheartedly embraced.”

“Despite the cherished memories we have collectively fostered, evolving circumstances and a realignment of my personal priorities necessitate a reassessment of my professional commitments, particularly with Molitva Restaurant,” he explained.

Thapelo adds that he will now instead redirect his focus towards new opportunities that align more closely with his current goals and aspirations, but also that his brand image and name will no longer be affiliated with the establishment.

He added, “I extend my deepest gratitude to my corporate networks, business associates, friends, colleagues, and groups for their steadfast support.”

“To the past and present members of the waitress team, I extend my appreciation for your unwavering support, dedication, and hard work. To the loyal customers, I express heartfelt thanks for your continued support of my lifestyle offerings. Serving you has been an absolute pleasure, and I am grateful for the memories we have shared,” Thapelo concluded.
