WATCH: Videos of Zahara’s funeral leave internet users touched

It was an emotional day today at the Eastern Cape’s East London International Conventional Centre (EICC) where our gifted songstress, Bulelwa Mkutukana better known as Zahara was honoured with a dignified funeral.

The venue for the service EICC, was given for the day to the Mkutukana family at no cost, shared one of the two programme directors. This was not the only thing the beloved songstress was honoured with as Icebolethu Funerals conducted the service for free to show love and respect to the late singer.

Funeral attendees included guests from the Xhosa chieftaincy, government ministries, faith ministers, music executives, singers and Phumlani community members.

Zahara’s body was later laid to rest at her hometown Phumlani, an informal settlement a few kilometers outside East London.

Making rounds on the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) are videos of the songstress’ funeral that left many users missing the Phendula hitmaker.

They commented:

Other’s commented saying celebrity artist Rasta must be arrested for his artwork of the songstress.

XHOSA CHIEFS SAYS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS MUST LEAVE SA
AT ZAHARA’S FUNERAL

Others noted that the Xhosa chief who spoke about record labels who take credit and money from artists was shading TK Nciza of TS Records, a record label that first signed Zahara at the tender age of 23.
