Thuso Mbedu surprised her “little sis” and fellow actress Lorraine Moropa to give her her flowers – literally and figuratively – during her interview with YFM.

Lorraine was at the radio station to talk about her role as Mpho Tshabalala in the highly anticipated biopic of the late Kwaito legend Mandoza, titled Nkalakatha: The Life of Mandoza.

Taking to Instagram to share the video, Thuso shared that the surprise was not pre-planned. “It just made sense in the moment and we ran with it. But as I look back at this I realise that this was the perfect way to end off a weekend where so many people – friends, family and strangers – poured so much love and support into me. I don’t even know where to begin to convey my gratitude.”

Thuso continued, “I’m grateful that I was able to show @lorraine.sa some love as she celebrated the premiere of her latest project. Her heart is one of the biggest and purest I’ve ever had the privilege of experiencing. I’m excited for everything she’s yet to show us through her craft. Continue letting your light shine and watch UNkulunkulu do the rest. Thank you @yfm for letting me gate crash the last few minutes of your convo so I can give the little sis her flowers?.”

In a lengthy reply to her friend, Lorraine wrote, “Big Sis… I don’t even know where to begin. Your light shines the brightest, but you’ve took it upon yourself to share it with us. No one can ever say they’ve crossed paths with you and still chose to remain the same, ” she wrote.

“God knows I love you so much, but you still gave me a heart palpitation ???? I didn’t anticipate that visit even for a split second. You have a very BIG heart Thuso, I pray God grants you ALL that it desires. With the Heaven being His chair ? the earth being His footstool, best believe everything you’ve ever desired is water under the bridge for God. You deserve it all. Because yes He’s gracious, but also because of your HEART.”

Lorraine concluded, “I love you more than you will ever know and I’m rooting for you ALWAYS!! I’ve beeeen inspired by your journey and I celebrate you❤️, however I am mostly drawn to you because of your heart! You are one of a kind.? Ngibonga ngakho konke. I LOVE YOU ???❤️❤️❤️.”
