Watch : Springboks players celebrate their back-to-back world cup win

by Silindokuhle Booi

South African Rugby team breaks the record and wins the rugby world cup twice in a row.

In 2019, the Boks won the Rugby World Cup for the third time, which was historical as no Southern Hemisphere had won it twice in a row.

Yesterday the Springboks had the country in tears after playing a tough game against New Zealand beating them by 11-12.

The team’s victory was celebrated throughout South Africa, and it was seen as a symbol of hope and unity in a country with a history of racial division.

One social media users said, ” from a devastated Kiwi, this guys an awesome inspirational leader for his countrymen. Well done on record breaking win SA, well deserved ????.”

Showing great sportsmanship, Siya Kolisi(captain) continued to cheer up his team whilst playing.

Siya also thanked the South Africans for the continued support.

“What brings us together is our country. We played for the Springbok and then South Africa, that’s what drives us,” Siya said in the post-match reaction – with the golden trophy proudly displayed in front of him.
