Controversial Pastor Paseka ‘Mboro’ Motsoeneng of Incredible Happenings Ministries has been accused of threatening and assaulting teachers at Matshidiso Primary School in Katlehong.

According to the entertainment publication ZiMoja, the self-proclaimed pastor went to the school where his grandchildren attend in an attempt to have them forcefully removed. ZiMoja added that Mboro was accompanied by armed bodyguards carrying guns and pangas. In a recent video circulating online, he says, “Don’t you dare come close to me.”

As per reports by TimesLive, the children were in grades R and 2 and are currently under guardianship by their maternal grandmother after their mother passed away. Speaking to the news publication on the issue, Gauteng education MEC Matome Chiloane said, “In a series of shocking videos that have gone viral on social media, a well-known South African pastor is seen wielding pangas and threatening to attack teachers on the school premises.”

Online publication MDN News posted viral videos on X (formerly known as Twitter) of the pastor holding the pangas alongside his bodyguard causing many internet users to call for his arrest.

Provincial education spokesperson Steve Mabona told TimesLive that there was a dispute between the two families concerning the guardianship of the two boys.

He says: “Following this, the deputy principal and some staff members refused to release the children without the grandmother’s permission. This led to the pastor arriving at the school with bodyguards and weapons.”

“A team of detectives is currently taking statements from witnesses and all suspects concerned at the police station. An update will be given,” said National police spokesperson, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe.

Taking to X users said:

He will get arrested and his congregants will be outside the court every court blaming satan and people who are trying to destroy him

The videos are confusing! Is he holding them hostage or freeing them? Which is which?
