Seasoned actress and former newsreader Palesa Madisakwane visited the YouTube-based channel Cent Twins TV, hosted by twins Innocent Sadiki and Millicent Mashile, where she opened up about many things, including regrets about divorcing her husband Jakes Mocuminyane.

Palesa’s marriage to Jakes sadly ended in 2014 after they were blessed with two kids, Khumo and Thato. The actress also has a child with flamboyant media personality and entrepreneur Somizi Mhlongo named Bahumi.

While the former sangoma who turned to Christianity opened up about a lot of things, she also shared regrets about divorcing Jakes commenting:

“Life after divorce as a woman, I would honestly sit here and say, as much as I’ve made the decision and the choice to divorce my husband then, I also regret it. I don’t regret it because I still loved him but I regret it because I feel like I denied my children the right and the opportunity to have what people call a normal family.”

Speaking on how her decision to divorce has affected her children, she added, “Now today I’m sitting with children who are in the statistics of divorce. So, as much as I’m divorced I will never, never ever advise anybody to go through a divorce.”

A video clip of the podcast was shared by @Sthugen on X, (former Twitter) attracting a lot of comments from internet users.

What’s the point of having a normal family setup for the sake of the kids while you are unhappy in that marriage? Kids in that marriage are the result of a happy couple. If one of you is unhappy, it will spill off to the same kids you tryna give a proper family setup.

After watching the clip, one user commented:

They don’t listen. They won’t take you serious. They think men are lining up to marry divorced women.

Another user shared:

The sad thing about life is that it always look greener on the other side until you get there.

1. Single people want relationships, when in relationships they want to act single ?‍♂️

2. People in relationships want to get married, when married the start acting single ?‍♂️
