Two legends who have given us some of the best songs South Africa has ever heard, Makhadzi, whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, and Mthokozi Khathi, better known as DJ Tira, are currently cooking something in the studio.

DJ Tira rose to fame when he partnered with DJ Sox, real name Mbusi Sokhela, to form Durban’s Finest, one of the most successful groups in Mzansi. He later ventured into a solo career, blessing us with hits such as Won’t Let You Go, S’funa Abo Chomi, Sikilidi, and many more.

He is also the man behind the success of groups such as Big Nuz, the Qwabe Twins, and big artists like Tipcee, Dladla Mshunqisi, Babes Wodumo, and many more.

A queen in her own right, Makhadzi recently parted ways with Open Mic Production, forming her own record label, Makhadzi Entertainment. She is one of Mzansi’s female singers who keeps raising the bar. Her latest offering has seen her new album Mbhofolowa take the country by storm, with songs such as Mapara reaching 4 million streams in one month.

Excited together in the studio, DJ Tira shared a video in the studio where he played the new sound, which got many internet users excited and asking for a release date.

The video shared on his Instagram was captioned:

“Inkululeko ??.”
