WATCH: Khosi Twala feeds a community on Mandela Day

Big Brother Titans winner Khosi Twala left many social media users touched after sharing a video of herself buying, preparing, and handing out food parcels to a needy community. This was all in the name of Tata Nelson Mandela’s 67-minute campaign legacy, also known as Nelson Mandela International Day.

Nelson Mandela’s 67 minutes initiative is a campaign that was created to encourage people to engage in charitable events for a total of 67 minutes in their communities.

This campaign runs every year on Madiba’s birthday, July 18.

As the kind and warm-hearted person Khosi is, she also played her part in supporting many families in a squatter camp area with foods such as maize meal, cooking oil, rice, vegetables, juices, and many other items.

Taking time to share a video that starts from her purchasing to handing them out, Khosi detailed:

“Today Marks a wonderful day for South Africa with 18 July been declared as Nelson Mandela International Day. This day is a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to take time to reflect on Mandela’s values and principles and to make a positive impact in their own communities. Happy Mandela Day.”
