A woman who barged into multi-award-winning DJ and record producer, Themba Sekowe, popularly known as Maphorisa, with a bottle in her hand and attempted to plant a kiss on Maphorisa sent the internet into a frenzy.
With some justifying an amapiano artist, Scotts Maphuma’s latest stunt of avoiding fans, while some saw the incident as assault. In the video shared by MDN news on their X (formerly Twitter) page, the lady came out of nowhere to the DJ booth; where she put her hand around Maphorisa’s neck and pulled him closer for a kiss.
Another guy, who seemed like a bouncer, came and rescued the situation by taking the woman off the stage.

Such incidents proved to be common, as a similar incident occurred leaving DJ Lamiez Holworthy feeling violated after a fan grabbed her bum. Then, a video clip emerged on social media, where a group of excited fans were heard screaming, while others seem to get up too up close and personal with the star, pulling and touching her inappropriately.
Speaking on the incident, she said: “I’ve had to deal with a lot of chaos at gigs (as patiently as possible), but I need you to help me make sense of someone legit pulling my hair whilst one or two others touched my bum as security tried to escort me out,” said Lamiez.
“Eight bodyguards and even that wasn’t enough! I love what I do, but I hate what it comes with. People forget that you’re human and instead treat you like an object,” she added.
