Actor and dancer, Hungani Ndlovu recently sparked a less talked about conversation when he highlighted the scarcity of books that prepare men to be fathers, and how that led to him having challenges navigating fatherhood.

His former co-start on Scandal! and Mommy Diaries Podcaster, Pasi Koetle hosted a special edition titled: Fatherhood stories to celebrate present fathers and father figures.

While in the podcast, Hungani shared he felt useless half of the time when his ex wife, Stephanie Ndlovu was taking care of their daughter, Rhulani who is now three years old. He mentioned that he felt this way because their daughter was still breast feeding, leading him to think that he is no use in most cases. However, he was relentless and fought this feeling with sourcing books that would help him navigate fatherhood and how to support both the mom and baby.

He also shared that another incident that made him feel useless was when they had their miscarriage, he said it was a hard time for both of them and he wanted to help Steph but he did not know how.

He shared with Pasi that he was hurt when Steph called for her mom during the ordeal, and that led him to think that all the time he thought he was being supportive to his wife was all in vain.

The former celebrity couple recently shared on Instagram that they have mutually decided to part ways.

“After much thought, reflection, and conversations, we have mutually decided to part ways and end our marriage. While we had hoped to share this news at a time that felt right for us, the unfortunate early release by the media has prompted us to speak sooner than we had planned.

“Though our marriage is ending, our friendship is not. We are committed to our beautiful daughter, raising her with the same care, intention, and joy she has always known,” read the statement.
