WATCH: Dominic Zaca accuses Lasizwe of breaching their ‘Awkward Dates’ contract

With the South African YouTube podcasts now airing on DSTV channels, comes change in the contracts and agreements between the host and guests.

Recently socialite, Dominic Zaca who is popular on the social media platforms for fighting against injustices that comes their way, made internet users aware that their Awkward Dates contract was breached, and they demand payment as penalty.

Dominic took to their TikTok page and accused YouTuber and Awkward Dates host, Thulasizwe ‘Lasizwe’ Dambuza of going against the agreements they had, prior shooting the episode. They also said they would like to know what contract Lasizwe showed MultiChoice for the episode to be aired, because the verbal and written contract was breeched.

“I don’t know what contract you gave to MultiChoice, because I would think that MultiChoice would not air my episode knowing full well that I did not sign that contract in full agreement,” said Dominic.

Dominic said in the video clip that they had an agreement that the episode is for social media, and now Lasizwe is not responding to their emails. They also shared that Lasizwe’s PA acknowledged their mistake, apologised and promised to rectify the mistake.

“I was then told that the production company is going to be in touch with me, to compensate me or to discuss compensation. Instead, the production company is now saying, they need to have a meeting with all stakeholders.”

Dominic also demands transparency on who decided to go against the verbal and written contract they had, between Lasizwe, MultiChoice and the production company; and who is keeping their money and the apology that they believe they rightfully deserve. They  also reckoned on the video clip that Lasizwe knew that their episode will give them numbers, as it was the first episode that was aired on TV.
