Just when you think you have seen it all, someone comes and pulls out a bag of surprises that will leave you scratching your head because of shock.

This was exactly the case when a video circulated on social media platforms showing a truck driver attempting to drive an alternative route in hopes of skipping Cape Town’s traffic congestion so he could reach his destination.

In the video, locals are seen trying to drive the truck across the pedestrian overpass on the R300 highway. Meanwhile, it appears as though things were not as simple as they appeared to be as the driver found himself temporarily stuck in an attempt to try and turn his vehicle on the curving pathway before he received some assistance.

The video captured bystanders who were left shocked by the impossible attempt.

Watch:

Those entering the comment section of the post were filled with mixed reactions with some expressing their amusement at the ridiculous attempt while others were left fuming at the driver’s recklessness and the abuse of state property.

In an attempt to find out whether his attempt was successful, one person asked: “Camera men, what happened? Did the driver make the turn?”

Another jokingly added: “Google Maps took him there.”

Other users, however, were less impressed by the ordeal, commenting, “If this wasn’t so serious, it would be funny. This is an absolute disgrace and abuse of state property. No respect.”
