Watch: Bokang Phelane and Thabo Rametsi lobola ceremony

South African actor and film producer, Thabo Rametsi recently took the relationship to the next level by tying a knot with a Lesotho-born actress and the mother of his child, Bokang Phelane.

The couple united their families in a beautiful lobola celebration that was held in Bokang’s homestead in Lesotho. Taking to Instagram, the couple shared a mini clip of the festivities between the two families; titled “A promise fulfilled.”

In the video, Bokang can be seen wearing a traditional dress, a head wrap, and a traditional blanket over her shoulders, while her husband wears a suit.

The caption read: “The cows have crossed the border #LobolaCeremony.”

Industry colleagues and Instagram users took to the comment section to share their congratulatory messages.

Lulu Hela wrote: “Congrats you two! So very happy for you. You deserve all the love and happiness in the world.”

Bontle Modiselle also added: “Congratulations family. Abundant prayers and blessings to your beautiful union.”

While Lesego Khoza wrote: “This is so amazing. Congratulations lovers, I’m so happy for you bathong. Modimo ale tshireletse yetong le le tsha (may God protect you on your new journey).”

The couple also share a child, taking to Instagram about their daughter; Bokang once captioned her post: “Nine months in, nine months out. Every moment with you is so precious. Watching you experience the world for the first time is such an honour. Seeing you get giddy over the mundane things reminds me that even the simplest of things can be the greatest source of joy if you can be where your feet are. I am grateful for this mom journey.”
