Viral throwback of Zone 14 reminds viewers of their favourites

by Samantha Mochele

Award-winning musician and actor Sjava has been engaging with fans on X (formerly Twitter), talking about some viral throwback videos from the hit show Zone 14. The videos have reminded viewers of the good old days, and Sjava, who was part of the cast, has been answering fan questions and sharing memories.

One of the popular clips shared by @S_Phola__ features Craig Palm as Sting, the late Christopher Khubeka as Bazooka, and Ernest Msibi as Vuvu. In the video, the three characters are seen talking, and when Sting arrives, they start dropping bars and making a song, almost like a playful diss track aimed at him.

Sjava has been enjoying the conversations with fans, reflecting on what made Zone 14 special. He’s been sharing behind-the-scenes stories with many viewers calling it one of the greatest local shows.

He revealed just how real Zone 14 was for the cast and shared that many of the cast members rented rooms in Orlando East to stay even when they weren’t shooting.

The cast didn’t just act and go home; they lived in the area, chilling with each other and watching others shoot their scenes. According to Sjava, this experience wasn’t just about acting – the cast built a strong bond together.

The way Zone 14 was so real ngakhona some of the cast members ended up renting rooms on set we were shooting in Orlando east sebehlala khona even when were not scheduled to shoot on the day we will still go to work and chill the whole day and watch who ever is shooting on that… https://t.co/OqItixTrrg
