
Former Big Brother Mzansi housemate who emerged first runner-up, Uyanda Hlangabezo has recently revealed that his grandmother has passed away.
The beloved pedagogical practitioner took to his Instagram story to share an official statement, breaking the sad news.
“It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my beloved grandmother. She was the heart of our family- a source of wisdom, strength, and unconditional love. Her presence was a guiding light in my life, and her legacy will continue to inspire me everyday,” read the statement.
He asked for space to grieve his grandmother.
“I ask for privacy during this time, as my family and I grieve this immense loss and celebrate the incredible life she lived. Thank you for your support, love and understanding.”

Uyanda also took to his Instagram story to share a picture of his maternal grandmother at his homecoming.

He also clarified that the grandmother that passed away is not the grandmother that his supporters know, that left him an encouraging message while he was still in the show.
