South African music artist and dancer Bongekile Simelane professionally known as Babes Wodumo dumps Showmax for a better deal.

Uthando Lodumo is a reality show that follows the lives of the late gqom superstar Mampintsha (born Mandla Maphumulo) and his wife Babes Wodumo.

Mampintsha died in December 2022 and the show was on season two. Some people had thought that since Mampintsha died the show would stop airing until late last year when Babes Wodumo hinted that the third season of the show is coming.

Sharing a picture of herself on her Instagram, she wrote, “ThandoLodumo Season3 coming soon.”

Social media users and supporters shared their excitement when they received this news saying that they could not wait.

According to news publication, ZiMoja, Babes Wodumo is no longer working with Showmax so the third season will be aired on another platform.

A source close to Babes that spoke to ZiMoja said that she got a better offer financially somewhere else and that is the only reason she dropped Showmax. The source also added that she had already shot a few episodes with Showmax, but she did not want them to be aired because she felt like the content was strong for the money she was getting.

The source shared that Mampintsha’s funeral was also going to appear in some parts of the episodes.
