After Prince Kaybee provided a short response to rumours of being in a romantic relationship with his friend Unathi Nkayi, the singer took it upon herself to provide clarity of her own.

Rumours of a relationship between the record producer and singer started when Unathi was seen seated behind Prince Kaybee on one of his several motorbikes. Many thought the pair were a little too close.

Fueling the rumour even more was Unathi’s picture with Prince Kaybee and their sons.

It was obvious that Prince Kaybee was aware of what was being said about his relationship with Unathi as he commented on the picture shared on X (the app formerly known as Twitter):

“Lol, shame man, every woman in my life I sleep with. It doesn’t matter but Unathi has been a friend for years. Love her to bits.”

Although he noted that Unathi was just a friend, this did not stop the internet from believing his truth to be lies.

Speaking her own truth with ZiMoja, the former Idols SA judge stated, “He’s family. He even met my dad in 2021, when we were recording a song together in Gqeberha. This was when Kaya FM [now known as Kaya 959] fired me and he helped me through it with my father. They kept me in that bubble in PE [Gqeberha] for a week away from it all. I owe him a lot.”

Unathi also revealed that when the picture of her, her son, Prince Kaybee and his son went viral, the Fetch Your Life hitmaker’s girlfriend was present.

“He is like a brother to me, and his girlfriend was there that night, I don’t get why people are going wild over a picture.”
