An American Uber driver has detailed his near-death experience that happened shortly after he picked up a female passenger who had requested him.

This near-death experience that took place in the Southside of Chicago was shared by America’s popular blog, The Shaderoom who held an exclusive interview with John Williams, the e-hailing driver. A car dashboard camera on John’s car shows the lady who was busy on her phone when she entered the car commenting, “Sh%t he’s going to shoot the car,” while sliding down her seat to take cover.

Talking to the popular blog that has 78 million followers from all over the world, the e-hailing driver expressed that the 15 minutes that followed after the passenger’s remarks got scary as the ordeal went on after they thought they escaped from the aggressive ex-boyfriend.

Sharing the story on their feed, the blog also noted that the ex-boyfriend continued to chase the car after firing shots at the driver trying to get other cars to help him.

The whole incident which had many social users worried about the safety of those who transport people to different locations is bound to make many drivers live in constant fear of those they transport.

Internet users noticed a smirk on the passenger’s face as she slid down the sit at the back of the car, disturbed by the smirk they lambasted the passenger commenting:

“And I bet she went right back to the nigga that was shooting at her,” said one user.

One user felt no sympathy for the lady, commenting, “He should have driven right to the police station and press charges against her and the ex-boyfriend.”

“I wasn’t going to say it, but I will stop dealing with men like this and thinking this behaviour and their other aggressive and violent behaviour is cute. If you want to play with your life, fine but don’t play with somebody else’s.. And I’m NOT victim blaming but there are men and women out here dating certain types of men (and women) and are fascinated and get a rush off this type of lifestyle! Do better!, expressed another user.
