South African sensation Tyla stole the spotlight at the BET Awards, dazzling in a stunning vintage fashion ensemble for the evening.
According to W Magazine, the show-stopping Versace gown she rocked dates all the way back to 2004, nearly as old as the star herself.
The dress was a masterpiece of design, featuring a daring high slit, embellishments adorning the bust and a halter-neck choker.
Not stopping there, it even boasted a belly-button cut-out, lined with a vibrant yellow animal print- a playful nod to her loyal fanbase known as the Tygers.
Completing her show-stopping ensemble were the dazzling jewels that adorned Tyla’s figure.
People magazine reported that the songstress sparkled in a R4,254,155.90 worth of diamonds, includingJared Atelier diamond drop earrings, paired with not one but two luxurious tennis bracelets and a pair of exquisite rings.
One bracelet alone was worth R2, 127, 077.95, while her entire jewellery collection boasted a total of 70 karats.

A rising fashion mogul
Earlier this year, the 22-year-old was dubbed as artistic perfection by supporters when in attendance at the 2024 Met Gala in New York City.
Tyla turned heads with her daring fashion choice, which had been a skin-tight Balmain gown crafted entirely from multi-shaded sand, aligning perfectly with the evening’s theme of Garden of Time.
Accessories were kept minimal, except for a silver diamond choker, diamond drop earrings by luxury brand John Hardy and the centre-piece of her entire look- a clear hourglass shaped clutch filled with sand.
According to News24, when asked about her look by Access Hollywood, Tyla excitedly stated “I’m basically wearing sand. It was amazing working with Balmain. We really thought outside the box for this one, which is really exciting and we took hours to get ready.”
Tyla was one of the most talked about Celebrities at the world’s most glamorous and popular social event, 2024 Met Gala.
