Tyla includes South African artists on A*POP
The sophomore album features various international artists, but what stood out the most for Mzansi fans was the inclusion of Liquideep, MaWhoo, and Babalwa M.
Tyla reimagines Liquideep’s iconic house track Fairytale, lending her angelic vocals to the familiar beat. Her collaboration with MaWhoo on Crazy of Me brings more amapiano to international ears, with I Don’t Care with Babalwa M also offering listeners a unique experience.
Another featured artist is Swedish songstress Zara Larsson, who features on She Did It Again, which reached number 59 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Tyla told IOL, “I think on this album I’m just singing more, like I’m utilising my voice a bit more than I did on the first one, so I’m curious to see what the Tygers think about that.”
