It is always an amazing feeling when you hear an international artist acknowledge local artists. Music boss Rick Ross has done this before, and he did it again. Only this time, he sent a shoutout to someone by the name of Cassper De Small.

In a video making its rounds on Twitter, Rick Ross is seen walking outside and holding a bottle of Belaire rosé, an alcoholic beverage owned by the music mogul himself.

He says, “We showing love around the world. Let’s take it to SA, South Africa. Who we wanna rep in South Africa? One of the biggest bosses in South Africa. That’s right, Cassper De Small.”

Rick had clearly combined the names of rapper Cassper Nyovest and DJ Kabza De Small.

He then says, “When I come back to SA, Cassper De Small we gon’ party together. We gon’ link together. We gon’ rep together.”

Rick said all this while tagging the real Kabza De Small.

Although his enthusiasm was appreciated, it did not stop South African tweeps from joking about the slip-up.

“If he hadn’t tagged him I wouldn’t [have] known he’s talking about Kabza,” wrote one tweep.

While another thought, “I wonder what did Kabza De Small say about being called Cassper De Small.”
