DJ Tira came under fire last night when he alluded that Emtee was an unreliable artist. This came after the Sikilidi hitmaker commented on DJ Maphorisa’s tweet, which was asking if anyone had an idea on how to book rapper Emtee for a performance gig.

DJ Maphorisa shared:

how do we book Emtee pls help ??

— PorryMaduMoneyDoubleTrouble (@DjMaphorisa) July 12, 2023

Dj Tira commented under the post, adding:

“Emtee really disappointed me. We dropped a song with @DuncanSkuva, when we wanted to shoot the music video he disappeared, I have never heard from him since then. The music video never came out. But I wish him well, I hope he gets his house in order.”

This disappointed a lot of Twitter users who felt that Makoya Bearings as affectionately called by his fan was blocking the Pearl Thusi hitmaker from securing a bag.

Users called DJ Tira out for his comments adding:

Tira this is so unnecessary why does it seem like you want to gatekeep aowa maan you too old for this .

— Marcia thejane (@tseepati) July 12, 2023

DJ Tira had time as he responded to many people who shared the same sentiments, he explained that his comment was not to take anything away from Emtee, but that he wanted him to get his act together.

Angilwi but let’s try to focus a bit. If you do get my point.

More Tweeps shared:’

Haai malume ! ? After this do you think uncle Phori would want to touch him ????

— A Rare Jewel ? (@Trishaan_M) July 12, 2023

To which he responded:

I just want him to be a bit more responsible. He is one of the Best rappers we have in the country.
